They do surpringly well. Add some aftermarket steel bumpers and it’s even better, but you risk more frame damage.

I would love to see that done with a TJ with a classic rusty frame.

I spent about 3 years looking for mine specifically to avoid this. Still ended up buying more jeep than I wanted and probably paid a bit too much but the frame and tub are 100% perfect.

I was genuinely surprised. I have full doors and a hard top as well. Though they aren’t on very often, I suspect the outcome would be even better with them over halves and a softie.

The difference in the doors is amazing. JK doors have to be 7-8" thick while TJ and back doors are probably closer to 3".
